Attache 7 to Outlook
Access your accounts contacts as an address book in Microsoft® Outlook®.
Want to create an Microsoft® Outlook® address book using the contacts in your Attache 7 customers and suppliers? Sick of adding everyone twice or looking up addresses in Attache every time you want to send an email?
The solution is easy, just get the Attache2Outlook tool and within minutes you will have them in Outlook. You can download both products now and try them for FREE. The address book will allow you to use it 10 times and the folder creator will make 5 customer contacts and 5 supplier contacts so that you can see how the products work. Option 1 – Attache 2 Outlook Address Book Add In
This add-in for Outlook lets you access your customers and suppliers in real time.

The Attache 7 address book is a collapsible panel that lets you email your customer and supplier contacts from within Outlook.

- Data is only read from Attache when you click either customer or suppliers, so it doesn’t slow down writing normal emails

Option 2 – Attache 2 Outlook - Make a contacts folder
The Attache2Outlook utility will make an Outlook folder of Accounting Software contacts that are available as contacts within Outlook.
The benefits of this option are
- Make the folder on one PC and the whole network has access
- Less installation
- These folders can be synchronised to mobile devices like smart phones and PDA's

Setup is really easy, just set 3 values
- Attache DSN – The name of your ODBC connection – choose from the available DSNs on your PC
- Outlook Customer Folder – Where you want the Customers folder to be made in outlook.
- Outlook Suppliers Folder – Where you want the Suppliers folder to be made in outlook.
The outlook folders MUST exist, then Attache2Outlook will populate them, as long as you have sufficient rights and the path is valid.
Transfer on demand by clicking the Export button or use Windows Scheduler to perform regular transfers and updates.
Once you have transferred the data the new folder structure can be seen using the Outlook Folders view

When you open a contact, you can see that Attache2Outlook transfers details from the contact and the customer or supplier that it belongs to, including the address and additional phone numbers.

Scheduling
It is possible to schedule the update, new records are inserted and existing are updated. Just use the shortcut Attache2Outlook it has a switch /Export=True that tells the software to run the export immediately. You could get the contacts updated overnight, every night no more re keying data.
Contact Updates
New records are inserted and existing are updated. Attache2Outlook NEVER deletes records so if you manually add additional contacts they will be safe.
Requirements
The software needs to run on a machine with access to Outlook and you need to have Attache OLEDB installed.

Please Note
Microsoft do not recommend installing Outlook on a server that is hosting MS Exchange.
