Part 2 – PRO2Outlook Make PRO Folder for Outlook
The PRO2Outlook utility can make an Outlook folder from contacts that are available within your Attache PRO Accounting Software.
The benefits of this option are
- Make the folder on one PC and the whole network has access
- Less installation
- These folders can be synchronised to mobile devices like smart phones and PDA's
Setup is really easy, just set 4 values
- Attache PRO Folder – this tells the software, where your copy of Attache PRO is installed
- Attache Data Folder – this tells the software where your data is located
- Outlook Customer Folder – this tells the software where you want the Customers folder to be made in outlook.
- Outlook Suppliers Folder – this tells the software where you want the Suppliers folder to be made in outlook.
The outlook folders MUST exist, PRO2Outlook will populate them, as long as you have sufficient rights.
Transfer on demand by clicking the Export button or use Windows Scheduler to perform regular transfers and updates.
When you open a contact, you can see that PRO2Outlook transfers details from the contact and the customer or supplier that it belongs to, including the address and additional phone numbers.
Scheduling
It is possible to schedule the update, new records are inserted and existing are updated. Just use the shortcut PRO2Outlook it has a switch /Export=True that tells the software to run the export immediately. You could get the contacts updated overnight, every night no more re keying data!
Contact Updates
New records are inserted and existing are updated. PRO2Outlook NEVER deletes records so if you manually add additional contacts they will be safe.

The software needs to run on a machine with access to Outlook and you need to have Attache OLEDB installed.
